Transferred to detective bureau. Served as Detective for 15 years in robbery unit, Burglary unit, and General Assignment Section. Investigated robberies city wide and handled stake-outs and lineups. Which assigned to robbery unit.

Handled burglaries and major theft cases while in Burglary Unit.

Assigned to General Assignment Section in 1976. Detailed to Metro Strike Force 1976-77, working in undercover sting operations. 1972 Returned to G.A.S. handled major theft cases, traveling criminals (Gypsies, Subversives) , and narcotic cases

Promoted to Sergeant. Assigned as Third Watch Commander in Juvenile Bureau.

1989-1991
Reassigned to General Assignment Section as Operations Commander and Technical Support Coordinator. 1991-1994 Assigned as Commander of NOPD Auto-pound. 1994-1995 Assigned as Third Watch Commander of Gaming Unit. 1995-1997 Assigned to 8th District Patrol Supervisor and Com-Stat
Coordinator.
